Every Monday, I share 1 question for you to contemplate, 1 idea from me, 1 quote from others, and 1 inspiration for us.
Today’s topic is: Energy
This week one of my favorite YouTubers uploaded a new video. In the video, she reflected on the topic of “doing only one thing at a time”. She shared her recent experience of doing many things at once - all with the aim of achieving a desired goal as fast as possible. While this process was driven by good intentions, she mentioned that this approach gave her no joy and she quickly became unsettled and overwhelmed. Her conclusion was that, even when desires, dreams, wishes or achievements are at stake, it is best to focus only on one thing at a time - to give and receive the maximum of beneficial energy from that one thing. This video and its shared wisdom made me think about the questions: How many times we shift energy focus in a day? Do we take enough time to analyze the energy we give and receive from the things we do? How can we keep focusing on the things that give us energy long enough to reap the benefits?
One Question for you
You don’t have energy; you do things that give you energy.

One Idea from me
This week, I would like to introduce a framework I created which contains four different types of energy pillars we all have access to and some corresponding elements / characteristics taken from a variety of methodologies and personal experiences. The Framework is made up of four connecting parts, with each one needing all the rest in order to create the whole.
As the week unfolds, I invite you to reflect on the energies you use at work and in your personal lives and evaluate your energy balance and focus:
Which energy pillar needs to be activated more?
Which energy pillar is over activated or overused?
Which energy pillar is most valued, celebrated and recognized by you and by others? What’s the impact of this?
How can you use the framework to bring more energy balance and focus in your life?
One Quote from others
“You are responsible for the energy that you create for yourself, and you are responsible for the energy that you bring to others.” Oprah Winfrey
One Inspiration for us
Your energy does not magically refill itself, it’s the things you do (or don’t do) that generate energy. I find that eating raw foods helps me to get energized. Here is the recipe of my favourite energy booster smoothie. All you need is a blender and few minutes to make this delicious, healthy and super energizing smoothie. Simply combine one apple, one banana, a handful of spinach and / or kale, some cinnamon and water in a blender and blend until smooth.
