Every Monday, I share 1 question for you to contemplate, 1 idea from me, 1 quote from others, and 1 inspiration for us.
Today’s topic is: Journey
This week marks 17 years since I left Italy. It’s been an incredible journey with lots of changes, amazing experiences and steep learning curves. This journey started with one single step filled with courage, hope, belief, curiosity and a big dream. This step, followed by many other steps, has taken me to various parts of the world, expanded my mental, physical and spiritual horizons and has made me a more open, flexible, compassionate human being.
One Question for you
A journey of a thousand miles, begins with a single step.

One Idea from me
Rather than sharing an idea, this week I am sharing a picture of all my "steps".
Step one: Italy - the place that gave me the push.
This is a picture of a corn field in my village, kissed by the sunset. I originally come from a region in Northern Italy located in border area with Slovenia and Austria. The location was always a great source of inspiration for me as I had the opportunity to listen to different languages and experience various cultures since young age. Living in a small village near the border meant that I also experienced a lot of extreme dualities: on one hand, I was exposed to a lot of variety and, on the other hand, my area was a place where everyone was expected to be and show up in the same way. So, since I was very young, I felt the motivation to leave and explore the world.
Step two: London - the place that gave me opportunities.
This is a picture of the Olympic Rings (to celebrate London 2012) in St Pancras Station, home the Eurostar. I worked in this station for three years and, when I think of that time, I can still feel the sense of speed, freedom, inspiration and possibilities.
Step three: Edinburgh – the place that gave me confidence.
This is a picture of Roslin Glen, a mystical park behind Rosslyn Chapel. This beautiful place can be considered a metaphor of my life in Edinburgh – tranquil, grounded, spiritual and magical.
Step four: Yukon – the place that gave me courage and resilience.
This picture was taken in the Yukon section of the Dempster Highway, a 740km road that connects Dawson City (Yukon) to Inuvik (Northwest Territories). Like the rest of the Yukon, it offered incredible scenery, wide open spaces, remote beauty and the opportunity to come across a lot of wildlife. I selected this picture of the three moose because they represent my time in the Yukon – a time of seeking the truth, finding guidance within myself and embodying strength, determination and tenacity. Living in the Yukon has been my most meaningful experience to date.
Step five: Toronto - the place that gave me hope and belief.
Moving to Toronto was a huge leap of faith… that totally paid off. This is a picture of my neighborhood in Water Front – even during the Pandemic, this place was inspiring, energetic, healing and uplifting.
Step six: Vancouver Island - the place that is giving me roots.
… and I am curious to see how these roots develop.
One Quote from others
“So the Gods decreed. That, in getting lost, one would find himself". Homer, Odyssey
One Inspiration for us
"Move in the Right Direction" from the band Gossip has been a constant song that has accompanied me in this amazing journey. I hope you enjoy it!
